Meet our team

Tess Bennett, LSCSW, LCAC

I began my career in the addiction field and quickly realized that helping people heal requires treating the whole person. Over the years, that insight has guided my work as a therapist specializing in anxiety, grief, trauma, addiction, and relationship challenges. I use a variety of approaches, including Brainspotting and evidence-based therapies, to meet each client where they are and find what works best for them. My communication style is direct yet compassionate, and I value helping clients reach their personal goals and find self-acceptance. Outside the office, I enjoy reading, spending time with my kids and three dogs, and doing needlepoint or cross-stitch projects.

Michele a therapist

Michelle Fairbank, LCPC-S, LMAC

My journey into therapy began early, inspired by my own experience with school and family counseling as a teen. That experience shaped my passion for helping others improve communication, strengthen relationships, and enhance overall well-being. Since becoming a therapist in 2013, I’ve had the privilege of working with clients ages 4 to 84, providing individual, couples, and family therapy. My approach is client-centered—rooted in trust, connection, and the belief that each person is the expert in their own life. I hold master’s degrees in clinical counseling and addiction counseling, and I’m certified to supervise new therapists preparing for licensure. Outside of work, I love traveling, camping, and riding my motorcycle, and I find joy in spending time with family and friends.

Deanna Rupp, LSCSW

Becoming a therapist felt like a natural transition after years of supporting and helping others as a social worker. I provide therapy for individuals age 12 and up through in-office or telehealth sessions, and will soon offer equine-assisted psychotherapy—a unique, experiential approach to mental health care. My approach is flexible and collaborative, meeting each person where they are to create a safe, trusting space for growth and healing. I’m passionate about helping clients discover their strength and resilience while building meaningful, lasting change. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and son, caring for our farm animals, and finding balance through reading, travel, and time outdoors.

Office Manager

Santina Dechant, Office Manager

As the Office Manager, I help keep things running smoothly so our team can focus on caring for our clients. I handle scheduling, billing, licensing, and all the little details that make a big difference in day-to-day operations. I take pride in helping clients feel supported from the moment they reach out to our office. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and making the most of every day together.

Therapy student

Jenny Beemer, LMSW

Before becoming a therapist, I spent several years working in domestic and sexual violence services and child welfare—experiences that inspired my passion for helping others heal and build stronger, healthier relationships. I work with individuals, couples, and families of all ages, using an eclectic mix of therapeutic styles including CBT, art, music, and solution-focused techniques. My approach is compassionate and empowering, meeting each client where they are with empathy and understanding. I’m especially passionate about helping teens and couples strengthen communication, rebuild trust, and navigate challenges such as trauma or relationship conflict. Outside the office, I enjoy spending time with family, thrifting, singing, and traveling.

Therapy student

Kristine Buchholz, LMSW

A lifelong curiosity about human behavior and a passion for helping others led me to become a therapist. I specialize in working with adults navigating life transitions, addiction, anger management, and challenges like depression, anxiety, and personality disorders. My approach is humanistic and trauma-informed, rooted in radical self-acceptance and creating a healing space for people in vulnerable times. Before becoming a therapist, I spent 15 years as a veterinary nurse—an experience that deepened my empathy and understanding of care. Outside of work, I enjoy reading, traveling, cooking, and working on puzzles. My goal is to help others see their worth and feel good about who they are and what they bring to this world.

Taisa Carvalho, LMLP

I’m passionate about helping people feel safe, understood, and supported as they work toward healing and growth. I specialize in trauma, personality disorders, mood and anxiety concerns, and problematic sexual behaviors. My approach is flexible and personalized to each client, grounded in empathy, patience, and genuine connection. I work with children (ages 6+), adults, couples, and groups—and I truly love walking alongside my clients as they discover strength and hope.

Catera Dietrich, LPC

Hi, I’m Catera! I work with children, teens, and adults to help them navigate life’s challenges and find emotional balance. I often use sand tray therapy with kids and provide a supportive space for adults managing anxiety, depression, or overwhelm. My goal is to create a calm, compassionate environment where every client feels heard and understood.

Allison therapist

Allison Lubbers, LPC

Inspired by the resilience of children and families, I’m passionate about helping young people and parents grow into the best versions of themselves. I specialize in working with children and adolescents ages 10 and under, while working to strengthen parent-child relationships through a compassionate, client-centered, and strengths-based approach. My goal is to create a safe, empowering space where clients feel seen, heard, and valued. I’m currently completing training as a Registered Play Therapist and bring experience from both school-based and clinical settings. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family, reading, and relaxing with a good movie.
